All you need to do is to list down the skills or knowledge that you have and might be in demand elsewhere. For instance, you love stamp collection and you do it every evening after work. |

You may want to build you online home based business around this - write a guide on stamp collection, teaching people how to classify stamps, how to protect stamps, etc. You do not need to spend money to acquire this knowledge because you already have it.
What if you can't think of any skills or knowledge that people might be interested in? Then, you can seek out a workable business model and focus on that alone. You can obtain almost everything you need through bartering, web hosting, domain name or credit card processing, to name a few in exchange for your product (if you have one) or services like copywriting, ghostwriting and website designs. In short, be available to take up those mundane jobs that people don't want to do, and you can do that for those people in exchange for things you need. You just need to ask for it!
Running you own home based business is an entirely different ball game from your office work. You have to keep yourself properly motivated and confident because you do not have a boss to see that things are being done well.
